Board Certified Optometrist
Dr. Long attended Millersville University in Pennsylvania for her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees before going on to earn her Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She was one of the 12% of Optometrists nationwide chosen to do a residency, which she completed at the Lebanon Veterans Administration Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Dr. Long was the sole optometry resident working alongside 8 ophthalmology residents. Her vast clinical experience allows her to deliver superior care, and her passion for her patients' well-being allows her to deliver it with genuine care. Her professional memberships include the American Optometric Association, The Florida Optometric Association and Volunteers of Optometry Serving Humanity. She is active in mission work and frequently serves the under privileged by providing eyecare in much needed areas.
Dr. Long lives in Sarasota with her husband, Steve and daughter Risdon. When not working, she enjoys family time, reading, cooking, running and yoga.
