I treat one patient at a time, and each patient as the individual they are.
Dr Hector is a fellowship trained (Emory University) Corneal/External disease specialist who also provides comprehensive ophthalmic evaluation and care. He joined The Eye Associates in 1986 after serving 13 years in the US Army. He obtained the rank of LT Colonel and was the assistant chief of the Dept of Ophthalmology at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. After moving the Bradenton, Dr Hector’s easygoing attitude and kindness quickly made him a favorite among patients and staff.
Though already board certified by the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, in 2013 he took and passed the recertification exams for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, one of only 8% of senior ophthalmologists to do so.
Dr Hector and his wife, Patricia are well known in Manatee and Sarasota county for their 35 years of community service and philanthropy, They have two grown daughters who have both chosen careers in the medical field.
