Meet our Vision Correction Surgeons
Dr. Cathleen McCabe is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is highly skilled in Clear Lens Replacement (CLR), and Bladeless Laser Cataract Surgery. She was named to the Premier Surgeon 300 list, which recognizes the most outstanding premium IOL surgeons in the US. She was also chosen for inclusion in the highly selective list of Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors and recently received Castle Connolly’s Exceptional Women in Medicine award.
Dr. McCabe received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and went on to fulfill her internship at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. Dr. McCabe then completed her ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute of the University of Miami’s School of Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and has memberships with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the Society for Excellence in Eye Care, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Brian Foster is a LASIK surgeon AND a LASIK patient. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist, Fellowship Trained Corneal Specialist, Bladeless Laser LASIK surgeon, Clear Lens Replacement (CLR) surgeon, and Bladeless Laser Cataract Surgeon. He is experienced in the latest innovations in these surgeries and brings the most up-to-date level of training and knowledge to his patients. He is also on the cutting edge of other procedures such as DSAEK for Fuch’s endothelial dystrophy, DALK for keratoconus, and dry eye treatments including use of serum tears. Dr. Foster is the recipient of the prestigious Resident Excellence Award by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Dr. Foster received his medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine where he then completed his medical internship. Dr. Foster went on to complete an ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University Eye Center, and received his fellowship training in cornea and external disease at the Eye Consultants of Atlanta before joining The Eye Associates.
