Dr. Friedman received his medical degree and then continued his residency for Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri. He did his medical and surgical Vitreo-Retinal fellowship training at Northwestern University Medical School.

 Dr. Friedman was a former Assistant Professor and head of Retina Division-Ophthalmology Department at the University of Florida in Gainesville and Shands Hospital and is currently Assistant Clinical Professor-Ophthalmology Department at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

 Dr. Friedman was born in St. Louis, Missouri and currently lives in Lakeland, Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys all sports, musical theatre and traveling. He has completed several marathons, including the Boston Marathon. Dr. Friedman has been serving patients in Central Florida for over 20 years.
