Not all of us get all the proper nutritional needs in our everyday diet, so I’m a believer in nutritional supplements as part of the medical therapy, especially for those with Dry Eye Disease (DED). For my patients, I prescribe HydroEye by Science Based Health because of their blend of EPA, DHA, GLA, and other nutrients. This formulation has demonstrated to provide a clinically significant reduction in DED symptoms and ocular surface inflammation. I also remind patients to drink plenty of fluids (9-13 cups total) with the majority being comprised of water. Remember…if your body is dehydrated, so will your eyes.
