Many people think that eyeglass lenses are all the same, but nothing can be further from the truth. Here at The Eye Associates, we take your eyes, your eyeglasses, and the way you see out of them very seriously. We know that you come to us expecting the best vision possible…… and we do that with ZEISS eyeglass lenses.
ZEISS chose The Eye Associates to be a ZEISS Certified Practice
What does that mean to you, the patient? It means that you can be confident that you are getting the best eyeglass lenses for the best vision. A great deal of science, technology, and craftsmanship goes into every pair of ZEISS eyeglass lenses to give you great vision.
Also, ZEISS made sure that The Eye Associates’ staff was well trained in ZEISS precision optics by bringing their top trainers in to teach our board certified optical technicians and Florida licensed opticians in order to ensure that each patient has a precise fitting of ZEISS optical products. They even took our doctors and staff to visit the ZEISS lab to see the precision computers and a pinpoint accurate diamond cutting process that is used to manufacture their high-quality eyeglass lenses.
Why ZEISS lenses?
Simply put…you will see better with ZEISS lenses. Scientists at Carl ZEISS Vision are constantly developing new mathematical algorithms to improve the optical performance of their lenses. Just as you may have seen a poor quality window with distortions or a mirror that isn’t clear, poor quality eyeglass lens can have distortions too. For example, poor quality progressive no-line bifocal lenses, known as progressive multifocals, can cause you to stumble, require you to move your head from side to side, and can actually cause blurry vision. The advanced technology of ZEISS progressive lenses gives patients a thinner, lighter lens with a wider field of vision, and perfect optics with no distortions. Standard progressive lenses are mass produced with a single, fixed lens design, but ZEISS offers a completely custom lens, called the Individual® 2, that is designed precisely for your prescription and your frame choice. This manufacturing process is up to 6 times more accurate and gives you up to a 50% larger field of vision than ordinary progressive lenses. Our goal at The Eye Associates is to give our patients HD vision!
Zeiss UV 400 Protection
Zeiss is setting a new standard of care when it comes to UV protection by introducing ZEISS UVProtect Technology as part of ALL of their clear lenses. This is the first time that ‘sunglass-level UV 400 protection’ will be available in all clear lenses. Other lens manufacturers only offer protection up to UV 380, and this gap in protection can account for consumers being exposed to as much as 40% of the most harmful UV rays, UV 400. Even though there are some UV coatings that can be added to clear lenses, there is no guarantee that the coating is applied consistently. This new lens will have the ZEISS UVProtect Technology embedded in the lens material, and it will not alter the clear lens effect at all nor will it deteriorate

For over 160 years, ZEISS has been a pioneer in precision optics. They won technical Academy Awards for Lord of the Rings and Jurassic Park movies, are used by Google Earth and they were even part of the NASA space program for man’s first steps on the moon! Now you can have that same level of high technology and advanced engineering with ZEISS eyeglass and sunglass lenses from The Eye Associates.
ZEISS continues to evolve the science of optics for one simple reason: to create a higher level of clarity in eyewear that is completely personalized to your vision and lifestyle. They register approximately 400 new inventions each year with the US patent office! This is why astronauts, Google Earth, Nobel Prize winners, Hollywood directors and The Eye Associates place their trust in ZEISS optics.
