The Eye Associates in Venice is the best place you can go to address any issues with your eyes in the greater Venice area, period. The facility is brand new and outfitted with all of the modern equipment and technology it takes to diagnose and treat any ocular ailments you may have. But thats not what makes it the best.Its the people.It starts at the front desk, where FOUR people are manning the station, not just one overworked receptionist like most places. And calling them receptionists even seems like a discredit to the breadth of their capabilities. I found Charlene K to be particularly helpful and charming during the checkout process, shes the type of person I would want to be friends with in real life. She gets s*** done.My wait time was minimal, in a large and comfortable room with a nice TV and fresh water. Then I was seen by Randi, who is the bomb dot com! She is so funny I was immediately put at ease (I HATE medical visits of any kind) and her kind attention and natural people skills made me forget I was even at the doctors office. She simply glows :)When it came time to see the doctor, (Dr. Rubin) he took all of 2 minutes to diagnose my issue and direct me to the proper course of treatment. His experience and knowledge shines through in his clear and concise communication. I like a doctor who gives it to me straight. I had questions regarding payment (Im probably the only dumb-dumb left who doesnt have health insurance) and even though the doctors dont deal with payments themselves, he immediately called another staff member in (I feel so bad for not remembering her name) who helped answer my money questions. Somehow I was magically charged less than the quoted price from the previous eye place that referred me there!?! Thank you!!!So, yea, its the best ophthalmologist in Venice- take it from someone who was born and raised here. And its the best because of the people. You can tell all of the employees love their work environment, and the importance of that can not be underestimated. Its one of those special places where they genuinely care about you, and you dont feel like the smallest broken cog in the massive medical-industrial machine. I hope I never have an eye issue again, but if I do, I certainly know where Im going to get it fixed. I am so grateful for everyone at The Eye Associates, thank you from the bottom of my heart <3
